Our Articles of Faith
We believe in one God, the Creator of all things, who reveals Himself as Father, Son and Spirit.
(Matthew 3:16-17, 28:19-20; 2 Corinthians 13:13)
We believe in Jesus Christ, who is fully God and fully man at the same time, who became like us to bring our salvation. (Matthew 1:20-25, 16:15-16; John 1:1-18)
We believe in the Holy Spirit, who is active in the world, to save those who are lost. (John 14:15-18, 16:7-15; Romans 8:1-17)
We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, giving us all we need to know about how to be saved. (2 Timothy 3:15-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21)
We believe that we all have sinned by both nature and acts and need God’s forgiveness and cleansing. (Genesis 3; Romans 3:23, 5:12-14, 6:15-23)
We believe that Jesus Christ died on the Cross, and by trusting in His death, we can be restored to a right relationship with God. (John 3:14-17)
We believe that God has enabled us to turn to Him from sin, but that He has not forced us to do so. (Genesis 2:16-17; John 1:12; Galatians 6:7-8)
We also believe that all persons, though saved and sanctified, may fall from grace and unless they repent they will be eternally lost. (John 10:27, 29, 15:2,6; 1 Peter 1:5; Isaiah 59:1-2; Matthew 18:21-35; Luke 8:13, 12:42-47; Romans 11:20-22; 1 Corinthians 8:10-11, 9:27, 10:12; Ephesians 5:5-7; Hebrews 6:4-6, 10:26-29; James 1:14-16; 2 Peter 2:18-22; 1 John 2:4, 3:8-9; 2 John 8-9; Jude 4-6; Revelation 3:11, 21:8, 22:19)
We believe that each person must turn from sin and trust in Christ to accept them. (Isaiah 55:6-7; Acts 17:30-31)
We believe that when we turn from sin and trust in Christ, the old record of sin is wiped clean, and we are born anew, becoming part of the family of God. (Acts 13:39; Titus 3:4-7; Galatians 4:4-7)
We believe that after being born anew, we need the fullness of God’s Spirit in our hearts. When we make a complete commitment to Him, He cleanses our hearts, fills us with His perfect love, and He gives us the power to live victoriously. (Matthew 3:11, 22:37-40; 1 John 4:17-18)
We believe that the Church is the active Body of Christ in the world today. It is called together by the Holy Spirit, through the Word, for the purpose of fulfilling God’s plan for the world until Christ returns. (1 Corinthians 12:12-31; Ephesians 5:25-27)
We believe that everyone who has received Christ should be baptized as a sign of their salvation. (Matthew 28:16-20; Acts 2:37-41)
We believe that the Lord’s Supper should be regularly celebrated as a sign of Jesus’ death, resurrection and future return. (Matthew 26:26-29; 1 Corinthians 11:23-32)
We believe that God can heal. We pray for healing. We also believe that God can work through medical science. (2 Corinthians 12:7-10; James 5:13-16)
We believe that Jesus is coming again and will receive those who know Him, living and dead. (John 14:1-3; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)
We believe that everyone will face the judgment of God. Those who have been saved will live eternally in Heaven. Those who reject Christ will suffer eternally in Hell. (Matthew 25:31-46; Romans 2:1-11)
